Maťo Homola – Hyundai Elantra N TCR (Hyundai Janík Motorsport) – 1st place
I like Hungaroring, and I have always been successful here, also in TCR Europe. So I have a lot of kilometers and experience here compared to my teammates. However, I’m happy that they are increasingly faster, so we are very strong as a team. Even though we have quite heavy weight ballast, and you can feel it on the track, as the car is heavy and a bit understeer, we are happy with the results.

I’m very satisfied to end the qualification in the second position. In free practice, we tried all different kinds of setups and chose the best one, and I’m happy with the position on the grid. Following Maťo in qualifying is very helpful. He is fast, and I can learn from him. Now I hope for a good start and fast pace in the race.
Adam Kout – Hyundai Elantra N TCR (Hyundai Janík Motorsport) – 3rd place
I’m pleased with the results because Hungaroring isn’t my most favourite circuit. I have been unlucky here in the past, so I have kind of respect for the circuit. However, we managed to have all three cars in the TOP3 positions, which is great. I think I would have set a better time, but I had to deal with traffic in the last sector of my last lap, so I couldn’t improve my time. Let’s see how the race will end up.
